Business Development/Industry Training Consultant - Perth Location

The MEGT Institute, which has been operating for over 15 years, has grown into one of the largest Training Organisations in Australia and is a quality provider of Vocational Education & Training.
 
The objective of this unique role, which combines both Business Development and Training, is to develop relationships which will provide opportunities within MEGT Institute\' s Scope of Registration and User Choice Contracts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the preparation, coordination and assessment of accredited on the job training and delivery of accredited off the job training to MEGT Institute clients.
 
This position reports to the Training Manager - QLD/WA.
 
Role & Responsibility:
 
  • market & promote MEGT Institute products and services to prospective clients
  • identify & develop business opportunities for the MEGT Institute
  • build strong & effective relationships across a range of industries & employers
  • design & develop marketing presentations
  • understand the Scope of Registration offered by the MEGT Institute
  • achieve KPI\'s as set by the Training Manager
  • possess knowledge of RTO processes
  • develop & maintain systems & procedures to manage the business development administrative function
  • initiate on the job training plans for new trainees
  • carry out workplace assessments
  • support & provide advice to trainees throughout their training period
  • maintain up to date knowledge of MEGT Institute procedures, guidelines, service standards, legislation, regulations & Government policy
  • represent MEGT in a professional manner at meetings, forums & conferences.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • industry experience in retail & the business sector at supervisor level or higher
  • previous experience delivering & assessing both Business & Retail Training Packages
  • a comprehensive knowledge of RTO & AQTF guidelines
  • ability to network and develop business relationships
  • high interpersonal written and verbal communications skills
  • the ability to work autonomously
  • time management & prioritising skills
  • ability to show initiative & self motivation
  • current driver licence.
 
This role will require both intra & interstate travel.
 
Previous experience with Business Development will be highly regarded.
